The Psychoceramic Foundation
The board of Advisors is a select group of individuals chosen by the founder of The Psychoceramic Foundation based on their knowledge and experience in a wide variety of subjects. Select an advisor below to view more information and his or her accomplishments. The Board of Advisors is key in making decisions on who and what invention will be accepted for funding. The Psychoceramic Foundations main objective is to fund inventions that will prove to enhance the use of Earth's resources.

Steve Stevens Founder

C. R. Stevens: Founder

After graduation from Stanford with a B.S. in physics, Mr. Stevens entered the work force as a senior research engineer for North American Aviation. After leaving North American, he began his career of conceiving, designing and production engineering of commercial and consumer electronic products. To enhance his knowledge and effectiveness in the business field, he graduated from LaSalle Law School. He holds numerous U.S. and International patents. Several of these patents have been licensed to various companies some of which include 3M, Royal Industries, Multisonics, Inc., North American/Rockwell, Motorola and Gulf & Western.

Some of Mr. Stevens’ professional affiliations are National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), Illumination Engineering Society, Institute of Traffic Engineers, International Municipal Signal Association and Association of Energy Engineers.

Mr. Stevens continues his work in electronics with applications in the lighting and medical industries. He also serves as an expert witness in the area of patents, patent infringement and understanding and interpreting patent law.

Dr. Bulent Ataly:

The Washington Post once characterized Dr. Atalay as a true “Renaissance Man” with training as an artist, an archaeologist and a scientist. Dr. Atalay’s academic studies include a B.S., M.S., M.A., Ph.D. and post-doctoral work at Georgetown, Princeton, University of California at Berkeley and Oxford University.

Dr. Atalay has been a member of the Department of Theoretical Physics at Oxford University and a member of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, where Albert Einstein spent his last twenty-five years. He is currently a professor of physics at Mary Washington College and adjunct professor at the University of Virginia and he continues his association with the Institute for Advanced Study.

Dr. Atalay’s physics research had been focused on the arcane topic, “Perturbation Theory for Projected States and its Applications. In the arts, he has exhibited one-man shows in Europe and the United States. His lithographs can be found in the permanent collections of Buckingham Palace, the White House and the Smithsonian. His latest book, ”Math and the Mona Lisa” was just released by the Smithsonian Institution Press.

C. C. Fung:

Mr. Fund is the founder of Packway Industrial Limited, an ISO 9001 certified electronics manufacturing company in China and Manlion Industrial Company Limited, a marketing company based in Hong Kong. He is also the Chairman of Fantasy Lights U.K., an importer and distribution company.

Mr. Fung received an Advanced Diploma in Engineering from North East Essex College, U.K. and a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Hong Kong. He holds numerous U.S., European and Chinese patents including the multi-telephone adapter used in all computers worldwide. He also holds several patents in fiber optic light source design, widening the utilization of fiber optic products in the lighting industry.

Dr. Richard Fagan:

Dr. Fagan graduated Magna Cum Laude in English from Yale. He then moved to Stanford where he received a MA in Journalism and a PhD in Political Science. He became the first holder of Stanford’s Gildred Chair in Latin American Studies. Among his many achievements, Dr. Fagan has served as President of the Latin American Studies Association, Chair of the Social Science Research Committee of the Guggenheim Foundation and Chair of the Department of Political Science and Director of Latin American Studies at Stanford.

Dr. Fagan has been called upon to testify on Latin American and American foreign policy before Congress. He has also appeared on “nightline” and other national radio and television programs. His articles have been published in Newsweek, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, and other periodicals. He has co-produced several documentaries for PBS and European networks. A diver since the mid 1950’s, he has worked as a consultant on several underwater projects in the Caribbean. His published work includes diving-related articles in Skindiver and The Geographical.

Retired, but not retiring, Dr. Fagan now spends his time building his dream boat and lecturing around the world.

Dr. Fann Harding:

After receiving her PhD in 1958, Dr. Harding has had an outstanding career in administration and research in the field thrombosis and hemorrhagic diseases. Among her accomplishments are Chairman of the National Advisory Heart Council Statements Commission, Member of the National Heart Institute-Fellowship Board, Senior Health Scientist Administrator-Thrombosis and Hemorrhagic Diseases program, Assisting Coordinator of US-USSR Health Exchange Program and Member of the Board of Directors Lupus Foundation of America. She has received many meritorious awards over the span of her career such as the Distinguished Service Award and the Transfusion Medicine Academic Award from the American Association of Blood Banks; the Award of Merit for Transfusion Medicine from the National Institute of Health.

Her professional affiliations include the Association of Women in Science, the Microcirculatory Society, the Reticuloendothelial Society, the National Women’s Political Caucus, National Women’s Party and International Society of Lymphology. Now retired, Dr. Harding puts her anatomy studies to use creating beautiful sculptures.

Frank Hubbard

Frank Hubbard:

Mr. Hubbard is a graduate of State University of New York and PMC Colleges (now Weiderner University) Automotive & Diesel Technology and Engineering (Combined Mechanical/Electrical). He has written, set up and managed a Quality Assurance system featuring operator inspection proven by audits to meet Mil-Q-9858 and 10cfr50 Appendix B and conducted a QA audit and supplier evaluation in Brazil (in Portuguese). He was part of a team evaluating major electric motor manufacturing plants in the Republic of China.

Mr. Hubbard developed and presented Technology Transfer courses in Quality Assurance and Manufacture of Large Electric Motors to a major company from Taiwan. He managed the planning, construction and commissioning of a test building for testing 25,000 and 50,000 horsepower gas turbines. He supervised the installation and overhaul of combustion turbines, generators and accessories in Brazil, Venezuela, Indonesia, Greece and the United States.

Phillip Gunderson:

Mr. Gunderson has a BSEE and MSEE from the University of Minnesota. Upon graduation, Mr. Gunderson joined General Time Corporation and Televiso Electronics as a design engineer in the area of military radar and video mapping electronics. In 1968 he joined Motorola as principal engineer in Motorola’s Automotive R&D. Mr. Gunderson started Motorola’s Electronic Ignition Business.

In 1987, Mr. Gunderson became Corporate Vice President and Director of one of Motorola’s Automotive and Industrial Electronics Group’s three global businesses, the Sensor and Power Control business. In 1989, he was named Vice President of Engineering and Technology of the newly formed, wholly owned Motorola subsidiary company, Motorola Lighting, Incorporated. In 1994, Mr. Gunderson retired from Motorola as Vice President, Motorola Inc., and Vice President, Energy Savings Products, Motorola Lighting Inc.

Warren Finley:

Mr. Finley received his BA with distinction and Masters of Business Administration from Stanford University. In 1956, he was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant by the State of California. He attended law school at the University of Southern California and received his LLB in 1959. He was admitted to the State Bar of California, the U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Mr. Finley later attended oceanographic classes at the University of California at Long Beach. During this time, Mr. Finley began his independent study in the field of oceanography with an emphasis on the upwelling aspects of the ocean’s processes. Mr. Finley holds several patents dealing with oceanographic matters.

Dr. Robert Fischell:

Dr. Fischell received his B.S. and M.E. from Duke University, his M.S. in physics from the University of Maryland and his honorary Sc.D. from the University of Maryland.

Among Dr. Fischell’s many honors are the Industrial Research magazine’s award for one of the hundred most significant inventions of the year in 1967, 1970 and 1973. He was presented “Inventor of the Year Award for the United States” in the U.S. Senate Caucus Room on Capitol Hill in 1984. Also in 1984, he received the NASA Exceptional Engineering Award Medal and the NASA Space Act Award. In 2000 he was elected as Trustee for the University of Maryland, College Park Foundation and continues to serve in that capacity. In 2001 he received the Major Riddick Award for Entrepreneurship.

His career includes Program Manager and Principal Staff Physicist at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory; Instructor in Space Technology at Johns Hopkins University and Principal Engineering Investigator, Programmable Implantable Medication Systems Program. Dr. Fischell holds over two hundred U.S. and foreign patents in medical and biomedical devices. He has been published in over fifty technical publications and has published over twenty articles in Biomedical Engineering.

Frederick Lach:

Mr. Lach received his BSEE from Long Beach State University. He undertook post-graduate courses including economics, marketing and accounting. He began his career path with the City of Los Angeles Department of Water and power as electrical engineer in the underground power distribution group.

Mr. Lach designed and developed the first U.S. manufactured sliding rail type power supply system for Automated Electrified Monorails (AEMS), and variable frequency control systems for overhead traveling cranes and hoists. Before retirement, Mr. Lach was Chairman, CEO and founder of Electromotive Systems, Inc., a leading manufacturer of electrical control and power supply systems for overhead traveling cranes and hoists.

Dr. Tami Noble:

Dr. Noble received her B.A. degree from Sul Ross University and her Doctor of Chiropractic from Parker Chiropractic College. She has done specialized studies in Cranial Sacral, Gonstead, Diversified, Bio-Energetic Synchronization, Acupuncture, Applied Clinical Nutrition and Equine Chiropractic. Dr. Noble is an accomplished rodeo roper, having won, among others the 1997 United States Breakaway Championship, the 1999 Cowboys Professional Rodeo Association Breakaway Championship, the 2001 Windy Ryon Memorial Women’s Team Roping and the 2001 Bud Light Women’s Team Roping Finals Championship.

Dr. Earl Rathbun:

Dr. Rathbun is a physician with a specialty in Ophthalmology and a sub specialty in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He received his B.S. in Biological Sciences from Stanford University and his M.D. in Medicine from the University of California San Francisco. His Mixed Medical Surgery internship was at San Francisco General Hospital, his Ophthalmology Residency and his Fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery at the University of California San Francisco. He holds a California Medical License and is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has been a Director of Fellowship Program in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California San Francisco. He is currently a Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology and is in private practice.

Dr. Rathbun was a member of the 1980 Oculoplastic Delegation to the Peoples Rupublic of China. He has received the Clinical Faculty Service Award and the Outstanding Clinical Faculty Teaching Award, both from the University of California San Francisco. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, The American College of Surgeons and the Ophthalmologic Society of the Redwood Empire. Dr. Rathbun has lectured throughout the United States and abroad.

James Zaccagni:

Mr. Zaccagni received his BS degree in accounting from Southern Illinois University. He holds CPA certificates in both Texas and Illinois. A partner in Lowrey, Zaccagni & Powell, he is President of the firm’s Tax Division. Mr. Zaccagni has an extensive background in banking, SEC and N.A.S.D. regulations and the oil and gas industry.

Mr. Zaccagni is a director of the International Association of Financial Planners. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Forensic Accounting. He has published weekly tax and business articles in The San Antonio Executive and has hosted the radio program “CPA Concepts”.
